You can’t walk, you can’t breathe, and you’re always dying to get just a little sip of water. It may not sound that bad but it IS. Between leaving the doctor’s office and the actual building itself, I had to stop and rest 2 times because I was that weak. And whenever you want some water, it’s nowhere to be found or too far away for you to even think about getting up and walking over to get it.
Okay, right, so let’s start for the beginning. Last week, I had a really bad cold that didn’t seem to want to go away, but finally kinda did by some miracle. Next thing I know, I can’t get up in the morning like I usually do. I sat up on my bed in the morning and hardly had the power to reach over and shut off the alarm. January 30th, 2010Haiti: How You Can Help
January 29th, 2010Real quick, I just wanted to say how proud I am for everyone to be helping Haiti as much as they have. My family and I have donated a good little chunk to different charities for Haiti earthquake relief. I think it’s just amazing how, in the end, we can all come together and help one another. I love it.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
- Google Crisis Response (Unicef & CARE)
- American Red Cross
- Catholic Relief Services
- British Red Cross
- Doctors Without Borders
- CharityWater
- Yele Haiti – You can also donate by texting the following to the number 501501. Texting “Yele” donates $5 and texting “Haiti” donates $10 to the organization.
- You can also text the word “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 via the Red Cross.
Please feel free to donate to any of the above organizations. Also, don’t hesitate recommending any that I might have missed.
